ABOUT US
POTOMAC ELECTRIC occupies the Engineering Building in the Historical Sturtevant Manufacturing Plant, located in Boston, Massachussetts. The history of the plant reknown for the design and manufacture of electrical fans, spans one hundred years. The first american airplanes were prototyped in our building. During it's hey-day, over 2,000 people worked at the plant. Potomac Electric renovated the building and kept the spirit of innovation started by Sturtevant and later by Westinghouse Electric! We occupy a 20,000 sq. foot facility. We are proud to keep the manufacturing traditions of Boston.

Potomac Electric was founded in 1992 by design and manufacturing engineers from Westamp, Baldor, and EG&G Torque Systems. The company provides quick and low cost repair service of servo motors, drives, sliprings, encoders, spindles, pumps, and control systems. Our manufacturing division designs and manufactures speciality motors and drives, rebuild complex CNC machines, and provide engineering services in electrical and mechanical engineering fields.
