Potomac Electric has manufactured replacement servo motors for Hurco machines for more than 10 years. Over the last few years, Potomac Electric has developed a new line of servo motors featuring compact size, high-quality encoders, and a silver commutator. This new generation of servo motors, manufactured by Potomac Electric, provides state-of-the-art design features that ensure that customers will benefit from upgrading to a new Potomac Electric servomotor.

Potomac Electric supports many different motors that may have been used in the production of Hurco machines. The two largest servo motor manufacturers that we support in this area are Baldor and ElectroCraft. Potomac Electric has an experienced staff that can ship you out a new replacement or repair your servo motor quickly to get your machine up and running again. Potomac Electric also supplies a Yaskawa servo amplifier, SGDH-10AE. In the 1990s, the majority of machine manufacturers shifted from brushed servo motors to brushless servo motors as the cost of the technology had come down. The higher speeds and absence of brush maintenance in the brushless servo motors offered favorable advantages. As DC brush-type servo motors became less attractive, machine builders slowly phased out this technology. As a result, the price and delivery of these servo motors increased dramatically. Potomac Electric has set a goal to fill such a void in the machine tool industry with high-quality DC brush servo motors at a low cost.

The list of servo motors we support is constantly growing as we identify the needs of our customers. We are a small business and we understand the difficulty and cost of maintaining the machinery. Please drop us a note on our Inquiry and Quotes page with any questions.

Many of the servomotors listed above are in stock and waiting for your order, so please call for details at (617) 364-0400. Servomotor models that do not appear in this list may be available in our Parts Inventory, so contact us if you have any small-lot production needs.
