Potomac Electric introduces a new generation of high-performance servomotors designed to directly replace the 5” and 6” Kollmorgen BR-310X and Parker MPM142XX AC brushless motors popular in the late 1980s and 90s.

Potomac Electric’s new BMR51XX series motor family features state-of-the-art electrical and mechanical design, rugged construction, and compact size. BMR51XX directly replaces obsolete servomotors made by Kollmorgen (now a division of Danaher), Custom Servomotors Inc. (now Parker), Electrocraft, and several others.

BMR51XX motors work flawlessly with BD3 and BD4 Kollmorgen drives.

Potomac Electric offers replacement motors with various shaft and mating plate combinations, resolvers, encoders, and brakes. All our products are designed and manufactured in the USA at our factory in Boston, MA.
